Mrs. Haidner
Hello Grade 3 Families!
My name is Mrs. Haidner and I am very happy to be your son or daughter’s teacher this year. I have been teaching for the past 21 years. I started my career, teaching in the Arctic in Arviat Nunavut. I loved my time in Arviat, but wanted to come home and teach in Ontario. In the fall of 2000, I started teaching in New Lowell, where I spent the next 8 years. Then it was time to go an try different teaching and leadership opportunities. I spent time working for the Simcoe County District School Board as a Literacy and ESL consultant. Following my time with the Board, I accepted a job at Worsley Elementary School in Wasaga Beach as the Teacher Librarian. Following my time in Wasaga Beach, I spent 4 years supporting teachers across Simcoe County and then returned to the classroom. Last year I had the opportunity to return back to New Lowell, and I couldn’t be happier. My family and I have moved back to New Lowell, and we are living on my family farm. I am sure you will hear about our 6 laying hens, Calla, our Golden Retriever, and Holly our lazy cat.
I have attached two photos of myself, so you have a good idea of what I usually look like, and what I look like in the classroom, while I am teaching your child.
I look forward to supporting your son or daughter and watching them grow academically. My door is always open, so if you every have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact my school email and I would be happy to talk or virtually meet with you.
